I booked through Expedia or a travel agency. Can I still claim?
Yes. The airline that operated the flight owes the compensation, not the site you booked on. Bookings made through Expedia, Booking.com or a travel agent count the same as booking direct.
Here's what you can claim
Passenger rights are complicated. Relax, that's our job. Gyro checks EU261, UK261, Canada's APPR, US DOT rules and Israeli aviation law, so the answer is right wherever you flew.
Long delays
Arrived 3+ hours late on a flight covered by EU or UK rules? That's typically €250 to €600 per passenger, whatever you paid for the ticket. Canada's APPR pays up to CAD $1,000 for delays within the airline's control.
Cancellations
Cancelled with less than 14 days' notice: compensation, plus a refund or rerouting. In the US, a cancelled flight you don't take must be refunded in cash.
Missed connections
If a delay on the first leg made you miss the second, the whole journey counts. Same booking, same claim.
Denied boarding
Overbooked and bumped against your will? Compensation is owed on top of your rebooking.
Flights to and from Israel
Israel's Aviation Services Law has its own thresholds for long delays and cancellations, and pays in shekels. Gyro checks those too.
